Trailer availability

International use: use of the trailer is only permitted when the towing vehicle and combination are insured for the relevant country. The renter is responsible for checking insurance cover and required documents.

Name & address

White registration plate

The renter must provide a white registration plate bearing the registration number of the towing vehicle.

On request, MotoTrail can have a white registration plate made for an additional charge. We must receive the request at least seven days before the rental starts.

Drivers and driving licences

We must know in advance who will tow the trailer. Only registered drivers may tow it.

Protect your personal data before uploading

Uploading the front and back of the driving licence in advance is optional. MotoTrail can also make the redacted copies for you and add them securely to the rental file. If you upload them yourself, make the Dutch citizen service number illegible, including in any QR code or number sequence. Keep the name, photo, validity and licence category visible.

Preferably add the watermark: “Copy for MotoTrail – rental agreement – 10-10-2026”.

Preferably use the official Dutch KopieID app. Files are kept outside the public website and automatically deleted after a correct return. Only in the event of an incident are they retained temporarily and periodically reviewed.
